Update on Mini KO

Mini KO which was held at Taylors College Petaling Jaya, Leisure Commerce Square, Courtyard on the 24th of September, was a fun filled event which ended with the Knockers raising a total amount of RM1119.45!! We are now a step closer to reaching our targeted amount, it was a real motivation to the Knockers.

The event was held side by side with the Ugly For Beauty campaign, which organized a dance competition and invited the FLY. fm Troopers to further the entertainment and excitement!

As a warm up for one of our fund raising event, KO...
We are proud to present to you, Mini KO!

Time: 12pm - 2pm
Venue: Leisure Commerce Square, Taylors College Petaling Jaya, Courtyard

What can you expect at Mini KO?

• Food & Drinks : Tasty & irresistible food by Fusion Haven, the restaurant that practices art of combining taste from all over, serves varieties of exotic fusion food which is a combination of Japanese, Korean, Italian, Western and Chinese. A real treat for yourselves as lunch. We will also be selling our very own KNOCKA COLA! Its a soda, similar to Coca-Cola.

• Games : A pair of steady hands will be needed for our Knock Wriggler! This is the game where you need to hold a metal pole and navigate it through a metal obstacle, once the pole contacts with the metal obstacle, a alarm will be activated! Also, we will have another game we call, Spiral Penetration. In this game, a string with a pen attached to one end will be tied to the participants waist, the participant will then be instructed to put one hand on the floor and turn rounds until dizzy-ness kicks in, then, he/she will need to walk a straight line which at the end a bottle awaits. The last move is to maneuver the pen into the bottle!
  

• Project Knock Merchandise & Information Counter : Our official Project Knock t-shirt will be on sale, it is sold at the price of Rm20! Participants can reserve sits for our future event too, Charity Gala Dinner. Besides that, participants can find out more concerning Shelter Home and Project Knock there, as we will be there to explain to you with an open heart.

Fund Raising Events from Project Knock

As you may already know by now, Project Knock's main objective is to raise fund for Shelter.
We, The Knockers, has planned two events to gather the estimated fund, RM10, 000, from the public for Shelter.

1. K.O
K.O was planned as a game/food sales event. Light food such as cupcakes, cakes, candies, chocolates, and many others are expected to be sold at reasonable rates. As for games, we have prepared several fun/exciting/creepy/dizzy games, be there to find out what are they!
We guarantee you a good time :)


2.Charity Gala Dinner
The Charity Gala Dinner is Project Knock's main fund raising event, profit from ticket sales will be contributed to Shelter, and donation will be welcome during the dinner. Several performances by local celebrities are to be expected on that very night. The gala dinner will also be Project Knock's official launch.

Project Knock Hit The Streets

On September 15th, 2008, The Knockers went on road with Project Knock's personalized vehicles, known as "The Knock Cruisers". The objective was to educate the public concerning the project's objective and the existence of Shelter.

The journey started from Taylors College Petaling Jaya, and a total of 3 "Knock Cruisers" convoyed their way to Sunway (next to Sunway Pyramid), made a quick stop, and then proceeded to Subang SS15. We finally parked the Cruisers along the road next to Taylors College Main Campus, and went on foot to approach the public. Flyers and Shelter's pamphlets were given out, passer-bys were educated about the purpose of our project and also invited to join us at out fund raising events. The Knockers also drew attention of the public by shouting the "Knockers Chant" out loud, many passerby were intrigued and curious what we were doing, and approached us to find out. Besides that, The Knockers tapped on passing vehicles window to hand them flyers and phamphlets (the traffic was slow moving, thus, it was safe and we did not create any traffic jams).

The trip was ended due to bad weather, it started to drizzle and then rained at approximately 6.30pm. The "Knock Cruisers" left and returned to Taylors College Petaling Jaya.
